I bought the DB9 from Aston Martin Hagley on 18th May, but there was an engine emission warning light showing when I collected it and a 'regular service due light' also appeared that evening. So I booked it into Aston Tyne and Wear on the A690. They checked it over on the 21st May and cleared the warning lights. The main problem I had though with the DB9 is the very bad road/wind noise from left and right passenger windows - almost as if the windows weren't closing properly. Tyne and Wear checked it over and subsequently took the car in for 2 days on 22nd/23rd and have done a brilliant job, completely removing the noise from the left window and making a massive improvement to the right hand window. I believe this involved new window seals, window alignment, etc.

 

The courtesy, professionalism of Stephen Wicks (and Graham Wright) at Tyne and Wear was outstanding - five start treatment. Stephen kept me up to date with progress, offered a courtesy car if I wanted one, Graham collected the car from my home and brought it back. Excellent service all round. 

 

I have dealt with Stratsone Jaguar for the last 5 years so know that Stratstone customer service is second to none, but I think the service offered by Stephen Wicks (and team) at Stratstone Aston was truly exemplarly.

Having dealt with Volkswagen directly I was left somewhat unimpressed. I was therefore unsure what sort of service I would receive from Stratstone as the vehicle being sold was not in the same category as the normal type from this site.

 

I must say I was only left with good things to say. Gareth was welcoming, friendly and helpful. He made no distinction from me in my jeans and trainers to some of his other clients who I can only assume ooze wealth from their very cores.

 

Although I do not feel the need to advertise it, I am in a position to purchase further vehicles in the future. Therefore, when I decide to buy my fun sports car, I will definitely be paying Stratstone and Gareth a visit.

As with my previous purchase, the whole purchase experience was made easier by Nigel Bowen-Esley, the sales executive who dealt with me.

 

He guided me through the process efficiently and went beyond the call of duty to deliver paperwork, etc, to home.

 

The quality of the product speaks for itself, but a major factor in buying the car was Nigel. Put simply, the service levels were head and shoulders above the competition. For example, Porsche did not even come close.

I am writing to you to express my satisfaction with the service I have received from one of your Sales Executives, Malcolm Christie.

 

Let me start by saying I am quite particular when it comes to cars and I am no easy customer. I generally want things to be right when it comes to cars and any car I purchase has to be "the right car".

 

Having seen an advert for a Porsche Cayman S at your Aston Martin dealership in Houghton-le-Spring I arranged to view the car. Malcolm was a gentleman with the sale and with my family upon arrival. He explained all the services you offer and we proceeded to strike a deal. Unfortunately, the price offered for my trade in was not ideal and I unfortunately left the dealership. Malcolm understood my frustration and "chased the deal" coming back to me within the afternoon. His determination made me feel valued as a customer and we subsequently came to a mutual agreement.

 

Malcolm has kept me up to date throughout the purchase and was always just a phone call away if I had any queries. I had a private number plate to be assigned to the car and he even went out of his way to come to my house and collect the certificate so this could be fitted to the car.

 

On collection of the car, Malcolm had arranged to resolve a number of teething issues including a chipped alloy wheel and some scratches. All were completed and rectified satisfactorily. The handover day didn't really go to plan. The card machine failed and the car mats were missing from the car. Malcolm dealt with these problems very professionally. The card machine issue was soon rectified and he reassured me that he would find the mats or arrange for a new set to be provided.

 

This evening Malcolm has again gone "the extra mile" to achieve customer satisfaction. Having received the car mats he has personally delivered them to my home. He has even provided me with the original number plates should I wish to transfer my private registration.

 

Malcolm has truly been a credit to your organisation and I wish him every success in the future.

Thank you very much for arranging the factory visit for us at the Aston Martin factory last week. We all very much enjoyed it and found it fascinating, informative and very interesting. I will never look at my Aston in the same way again, now I see all the work that goes into making it! And we were lucky and the weather was very good. It was a very impressive factory – and did not look like a factory at all!
